Christmas Tree Hunting!

Hey there everyone its Sariah and Diego!

Just thought I'd catch you up on all the fun we've been having. For Halloween we went to my friends Craig and Jens house. I dressed as a vampire and we handed out candy to all the little kiddies!

Last weekend I went to visit some friends in Davis Ca for a 1900s themed party and I was the best dressed cowboy there!

For Thanksgiving I went out to Craig and Jens house and had a great deep fried turkey, watched Oceans Eleven and some football and then worked the next day. Diego was so good at dinner, he sat in the living room and didn't even try to beg!

Saturday we went with Jen and Craig to get a Christmas tree. We bought a permit to cut down a tree in the national forest. They allow this to keep the forest thinned down so it doesnt burn as easily. Diego and I struck off on our own looking for the perfect tree. After getting to the top of a ridge we found the most amazing tree but decided not to cut it down. When I turned around and looked down the ravine I realized there was no way I was going to drag the tree through all the brush and rocks that I handed worried to much about on the way up.

I started the trek down the rivine and through the thick brush, most of which I had to step on to get over. Needless to say Diego was not impressed with my route and didnt like being up to his eyes in bushes! After ten or so minutes Diego took the lead, all the sudden he was 20 feet infront of me instead of lagging behind. He keep turning around and waiting for me. After a few minutes I heard what he did long before me; Craig, Jen and thier dog Cricket hacking at a tree. Diego got there long before me and layed down next to Cricket, both looking pretty beat up from climbing under, through and over brush!

We both got beautiful trees and the rest of the trek was very easy. If you've never cut your own Christmas Tree I suggest it! I had such a good day and enjoyed hanging out with my friends and hiking with my dog!

So thought for the day:

"Love is not something you think about, its a state in which you dwell."

Health & Happiness,

Sariah Marie

Sariah,

I've never cut down my own tree. Sounds fun. Although, it isn't really an option in Tucson. Unless, of course, you used a Sahuaro, and that is illegal here.
