Farewell Picnic

Sunday, June 22, 2008

Danny's farewell was held in the Winnemucca 2nd Ward. He spoke on two things he learned while at BYU-Hawaii; Gratitude and God will force no man to Heaven (hymn 240). His talk was excellent-even his grandpa Pete thought so. The Bishop asked me to bare my testimony and then Danny's cousins: Ashley(almost 17), Nicole(almost 16), Kelsey(13) and Rochelle(11) sang "Army of Helaman". The oldest two each solo a verse and the younger two a duet. The chorus was in 2 or 3 part harmony. It was a great meeting! We had a picnic in the park and visited before everyone had to leave to travel home. The kids all sneaked in a game of volleyball and had a blast!

Hey Hafens,

Sounds like the meeting was great! I'm so glad you could all be there together. Today a group of young men sang in Sac. mtg for a farewell. Three of the singers were from BYU Hawaii. One of the boys new Danny. Cool, huh?!
