Hawaii Part III Polynesian Cultural Center Pics

Sariah, Mom and I went back for a second day at the PCC.  Mom and I spent the morning doing temple work for David's mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Both inititories and endownments.  Sariah meet up with us afterwords, so we could take grandma some of the 'islands' that she missed the day before.

Myself, Grandma, and Sariah with the Tahitian dancers.

Jonah and his siblings gave Grandma this beautiful
red, white and blue necklace with
adorning sea turtle.

Jonah helping the Samonan Chief.
Danny is called up to assist on the second day.
right now he is attending all his science classes.

Alvie wasn't too shy to take a photo with the gorgeous gal.
But he never asked for a number or a date.
Come to find out, Jonah's biology partner at college is best friends with this girl.

The Polynesian Cultural Center Luau.

Vegetation and Waterfalls abound at the PCC.
So glad Danny could join us after his lab class.

Eliza and Alvie are still enthralled with animals, especially if we can pet them.

The Somonan Chief//firemaker//coconut milk preparer.
In Somoa, the men take care of all the culinary work!

Sariah, was very tempted to go home with this tree climbing coconut getter.
He is from New Zealand and did not know what a pen-pal is.

Sariah was braver than Alvie.  Sariah went back to say goodbye,
She recieved some homemade bread and other food
and a kiss on the cheek from this polite gentleman.

Danny's turn on  stage.
The cheir was very short and enjoyed calling up
that stood over 6 feet tall.

Jonah and Alvie are in background for the sacred welcome dance
of new love that may not be from the same island.

If there is one place you have to go in Oahu its the PCC http://www.polynesia.com/polynesian_culture.html Established by the church to help provide scholarships for students at BYU-H we learned so much about the different cultures and especially enjoyed the show Ha:Breath of Life http://www.polynesia.com/ha.html
